When certain EMF files are read into Metafile Companion they appear too large with portions of the picture extending beyond the normal page area. (This is not a problem with EMF files created by Metafile Companion.)

EMF file sizing is based on the sizing of the current display. Windows reports the display resolution in “pixels per logical inch” which are not always the same as “pixels per physical inch”. This was a vestige of the old days when Microsoft wanted to make 10 pt text legible on EGA monitor. Their solution – scale reality! That scales EMF files as well.

Select all the objects in the picture and scale them “manually”.

This problem was fixed in Metafile Companion v1.11.
