How to Add an Arc

To add an arc:

1.Select the Arc tool Tools Arc Button.
2.Press the left mouse button on one corner of a rectangle that will define the overall ellipse that this arc is part of.
3.Drag the mouse to the opposite corner of the rectangle that defines the ellipse.
4.Release the left mouse button.
5.When an arc is first added, it automatically switched to Edit Points mode (Poly Edit Points Button) to display handles for the start and end points of the arc. Initially, the handles are one on top of the other.
6.Drag the handles around the ellipse to their desired locations.
7.(Optional) Press Enter (or the Edit Points button Poly Edit Points Button) to leave Edit Points mode.

Note: The direction of the Arc is controlled by the Arc Direction setting.

Note: To add a circular arc, add a rectangle with its height equal to its width as indicated by the Size area of the Status Bar. For more information, see Status Bar. Or you can use the Snap to Grid feature. For more information, see Snap to Grid.
