The Paste As Text command pastes the clipboard contents as Unicode text. Use this command to paste text from the clipboard as individual text objects. Multi-line text (i.e. text with new line (carriage returns)) is separated into individual text objects for each line since metafiles have no concept of multi-line text. Also, the pasted text will have the current properties (font, color, etc.) that are set in Metafile Companion. If you are pasting text with Unicode characters, make sure you have a Unicode font selected.
