This is definitely on our wishlist for the future, but there are no short-term plans for a new release with this feature. As you observed, rotating by an arbitrary angle is problematic - especially for certain metafile primitives such as rectangles and ellipses which don't support rotation directly. If you need to rotate a metafile, we currently suggest looking at a high-end drawing program like Adobe Illustrator.
